Krystal L. Meares, Ph.D.
Dr. Meares is a Licensed Psychologist and Certified Health Services Provider in the state of North Carolina. She specializes in psychological testing and assessment, particularly with children and adolescents. She is adept at administering and interpreting a wide range of psychological tests in the context of a comprehensive evaluation. Some of the services she offers at Etheridge Psychology include ADHD testing, autism testing, learning disability testing, early entry to kindergarten testing, and gifted testing. Dr. Meares evaluates children and adolescents for behavioral disorders such as oppositional defiant disorder, conduct disorder, and impulse control disorders. She conducts personality testing and clinical testing for individuals of all ages to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Dr. Meares completed a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology at Howard University before pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Educational Psychology at New York University. She completed a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Georgia in 2014. During her doctoral program, she completed various practica and internship experiences in community mental health, university counseling centers and private practice. She has extensive experience providing individual, group, and couples counseling, supervision and training, and outreach and consultation in university counseling center settings. Dr. Meares is a well-rounded clinician who is excited to offer psychological assessment and testing for individuals in the Triangle area.
In her spare time, Dr. Meares enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with loved ones and completing community service projects.
